Dr. Nur Ariffin bin Mohd Zin is a senior lecturer at the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2020), a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2013), and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2009). Recently, he obtained Professional Diploma in Blockchain in Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (2022).
His field of expertise lies in Information, Computer, and Communications Technology (ICT), specifically in Signal Processing, Pattern Recognition, and Image Recognition. His research interests include Biometric Object Recognition, Tracking Image Processing, and E-Learning Assessment. He also has an interest in innovation fields such as Node.js, Web3.js, Laravel, Blockchain, and Smart Contract.
Dr. Nur Ariffin has held management positions such as Principal Researcher and Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. He is also a member of professional societies like the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and the IAENG Society of Computer Science.
He has extensive teaching experience, having taught courses like Web Development, Data Structure and Algorithm, Java Programming, and Object-Oriented Programming. He has also been involved in several research grants and contracts, including projects on decentralized intelligent transportation systems and industrial monitoring for Industry 4.0.
Dr. Nur Ariffin has published in various journals and books, and has been involved in professional consultations and supervisions. He has also received awards for his work, further establishing his reputation in the field of computer science and technology.
